SANTA ANA, California – SaviCorp® (PINKSHEETS: SVMI) is pleased to announce that by the end of the first week of May, technicians from SaviCorp will travel to Beijing, China to oversee the testing of the DynoValve® by China's Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP), the Chinese government's equivalent of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Testing will be held at the request of SaviCorp’s Chinese distributor, FlyingGlob, as the government has promised to heavily subsidize the purchase of DynoValve units if the test results meet certain thresholds, eventually leading to prolific sales throughout China.
China's air pollution problem is well documented. The country currently has 154 million privately HYPERLINK registered autos, responsible for an estimated 30 percent of its pollution, increasing annually. It is anticipated that by 2020, China could be looking at 300 million registered vehicles and a rapidly increasing portion of air pollution attributed to these vehicles—thus the government's keen interest in the DynoValve as a first step in the solution to its emission problem.
The DynoValve will be tested in accordance with China's Ministry of Environmental Protection's (MEP) standardized guidelines to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of its ability to significantly reduce harmful vehicle emissions by recycling blow-by engine gases. Such tests have been conducted in the United States by an EPA approved lab and have yielded impressive results, including the most recent round of testing on light duty automobiles.
Tests have shown significant reductions of pollutants such as carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxide (NOx) and total hydrocarbon emissions (THC). Cold start test results on a 2008 Toyota Highlander (a similar make, model and year that the Chinese MEP will be testing) showed improvements across the board with a 30 percent decrease in THC, 35.6 percent decrease in CO and a 32.6 percent decrease in NOx. Hot start testing on the same vehicle yielded much higher emission reductions averaging from 30 to 90 percent.
Recent testing on mid-sized SUVs like the Toyota Highlander (a very common vehicle in China) has also provided exceptional improvements in fuel economy, peaking at 31.3 percent (testing and results measured over 50 mile intervals). FlyingGlob will also be performing a driving test to measure mpg gains and are looking for an increase of at least ten percent.
The ongoing test results derived from the DynoValve are made all the more impressive due to the highly accurate nature of the testing and controlled variable settings introduced through voluntary EPA protocols. Each vehicle tested with the DynoValve installed has been subjected to a California Air Resources Board (CARB) approved AMA road test cycle, which is tested by using 50 percent highway driving and 50 percent city driving to accurately gauge fuel consumption in real-world driving scenarios.
Working in conjunction with the Chinese government through our distributor FlyingGlob to undergo EPA-level testing on the DynoValve is a natural step in what we hope to be a mutually beneficial partnership with that country," said Serge Monros, President and CEO of SaviCorp. Upon successful test results by the MEP, the distribution agreement between SaviCorp and FlyingGlob will commence and the first payment on the initial order of 5,000 DynoValves will be made as part of the 50,000 units that Flying Glob has agreed to purchase in the first year, as part of a seven year contract with SaviCorp that will generate a minimum of $680 million in sales.
Once testing is completed in Beijing, SaviCorp technicians will turn their attention to Seoul, South Korea where they will meet with a prospective SaviCorp distributor to further expand SaviCorp's reach in Asia.
